Jack DeVine, PE, currently serves as a Senior Fire Engineer at Arup since July 2019 and has also been a Co-Instructor at Worcester Polytechnic Institute since November 2021, teaching graduate-level lectures on human behavior in fire using evacuation modeling software. Previous experience includes a Fire Engineering Internship at Arup, where Jack assessed water-based system efficacy and contributed to the NFPA Smoke Control Seminar, as well as internships at RAN Fire Protection Engineering, where design work on NFPA 13 compliant systems took place, and Hampshire Fire Protection, enhancing water-based fire sprinkler inspections. Jack holds both a Master of Science in Fire Protection Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, both from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
