Jan Wurm

Jan Wurm is an accomplished academic and professional in the field of architecture, with extensive experience in structural design, regenerative architecture, and biofabrication. Wurm served as Wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter at RWTH Aachen University, focusing on glass research and teaching structural design. Positions held include Visiting Professor at weißensee kunsthochschule berlin and Technical University of Denmark, and Visiting Assistant Professor at TU Delft, where research involved the design of a load-bearing glass dome. Currently, Wurm is a Professor of Regenerative Architecture & Biofabrication at KU Leuven and leads multiple initiatives at Arup, focusing on sustainable development, materials consulting, and innovation in the built environment.
