Jenny Lightfoot

Jenny Lightfoot is an Associate Director at Arup, where they serve as the geoenvironmental leader in North West and Yorkshire, leveraging 30 years of expertise in consultancy and regulation. They specialize in complex brownfield development, contamination management, and groundwater protection, with a strong focus on decarbonization approaches and deep geology. Previously, Jenny led the groundwater and contaminated land team at the Environment Agency and worked as a hydrogeologist at Geraghty & Miller International. They hold a BSc in Geological Sciences from Leeds University and an MSc in Hydrogeology from the University of Birmingham, and they have contributed to international projects across several countries.
