Joel Smith

Joel Smith is a qualified Mechanical Engineer who graduated with Honours from the University of Melbourne. They are currently a Senior Consultant at Arup, specializing in validation and verification for both proprietary and third-party products. Prior to this role, Joel worked as a V&V Engineer at Elbit Systems of Australia and as a Validation Engineer at Supacat, where they employed Finite Element Analysis and physical testing to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Their early experience includes serving as a Student Engineer at MUR Motorsports, where they contributed to a formula student race car project that earned recognition in multiple competitions.
