John Bynum is an experienced engineer currently serving as Associate Director and Ireland Buildings Sustainability Lead at Arup since 2025. They hold a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University, which they completed in 2012, and have extensive experience in academia and industry. Previously, they worked as a Senior Research Scientist at United Technologies Research Center - Ireland, a Post-doc Researcher at Eindhoven University of Technology, and contributed to energy systems research while serving as a Graduate Assistant at the Energy Systems Laboratory. Throughout their career, John has developed skills in modeling, simulations, and energy analysis for various applications.
