John Eddy

John Eddy, PE, ENV SP, PMP, is a Principal at Arup, where responsibilities include leadership of the Transportation Business on the West Coast and managing a team of 55 engineers in the Infrastructure San Francisco Practice. John has played a crucial role in the Global Research Challenge focused on the impact of driverless vehicles on future transportation. As an Americas Board Member, responsibilities encompass chairing the Information Technology Executive and serving as the Skills Advocate for infrastructure-related groups. John also chairs Arup's Infrastructure Practice in the Americas, providing insights into major infrastructure design and entitlement processes. With over three decades of experience in civil engineering, John's career includes roles at Parsons Transportation Group, Parsons Brinckerhoff, Boston Buildings Consultants, and Storch Engineers, having a strong foundation in bridge design and structural engineering. John holds both a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from Syracuse University.
