John Wear

John Wear is a seasoned civil engineer with extensive experience in project and design management across various infrastructure projects. Starting career at Atkins from September 2002 to September 2008, John progressed to roles including Design Manager and Senior Engineer at Arup, overseeing significant projects such as the MRWA Mitchell Freeway Widening tender bid and the Mitchell Freeway Extension. As Highways Team Leader and Associate, John led the Bindoon Bypass section of the Great Northern Highway upgrade. Further expertise includes managing projects for Transport and Main Roads, such as the Logan Motorway Interchanges and Ipswich Motorway. Notable positions as Associate Principal and Senior Engineer involved leading major infrastructure initiatives and managing reconstruction works for NDRRA in the Wide Bay Burnett region. John holds a 2:1 BEng in Civil Engineering from Loughborough University, awarded in 2002.
