Kate Amissah is a seasoned professional in transportation planning and civil engineering, with a diverse background that includes significant roles in academia and industry. Initially serving as a Teaching Assistant/Program Assistant at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science & Technology, Kate transitioned to positions at METRANS Transportation Research Center and the Bedrosian Center, where research and administrative skills were honed. Subsequent internships with the City of Los Angeles and Jacobs provided practical experience in project management. At Los Angeles Metro, Kate progressed through various roles, leading major projects, including a $130 million Operations Center and a $15 million train project at Burbank Airport. Currently, Kate serves as an Associate at Arup, focusing on advancing transportation initiatives in Sacramento. Kate holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering/Transportation from Kwame Nkrumah University and a Master of Science in Civil Engineering - Transportation from the University of Southern California.
