Kate Shield

Kate Shield is a Principal Human Factors Consultant at Arup, where they focus on integrating user-centered design in both built and digital environments. With experience in the transport, medical devices, energy, and manufacturing sectors, Kate utilizes their skills in user research and data analysis to enhance user experiences. They previously served as a Senior Human Factors Consultant at Arup, notably leading human factors initiatives for HS2 Euston Station and London Underground. Kate holds an MSc in Organisational Psychology from the University of Leeds and a BSc in Psychology from the University of Aberdeen, and is a chartered member of the Chartered Institute of Ergonomics and Human Factors.
