Kelly Finzel

Kelly Finzel, PE, is an experienced fire engineer currently serving as an Associate Fire Engineer at Arup since June 2019, where responsibilities include project management and delivering innovative fire protection engineering solutions. Finzel also leads the Americas East Fire Engineering Team, overseeing staff across the Boston, New York, and Washington DC offices. Previous roles include Lead Fire Protection Engineer at H2M architects + engineers, where Finzel managed the design and technical review of fire protection systems, and Fire Protection Engineer at EYP, focusing on code reviews and system design for projects in higher education, government, and historic preservation. Earlier experience includes consulting services at Aon Fire Protection Engineering. Finzel holds a Master of Science in Fire Protection Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, both from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
