Kien Hoang is a seasoned professional in the engineering and architecture sectors, currently serving as the Country Representative for Vietnam at the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH) since February 2025. Prior to this role, Kien has held various positions at Arup, including Director, Associate Director, and Associate since January 2015, along with responsibilities as a Lecturer at the School for Higher and Professional Education in Hong Kong and as an Assistant Professor at The University of Hong Kong from 2015 to 2016. Kien's past experience includes significant projects at Buro Happold from 2001 to 2015, where notable contributions involved leading design efforts for a mixed-use building in a densely populated area and working on bridge engineering concepts. Additional roles included lecturing at Imperial College London and volunteering as an Engineer and Site Foreman at Freightliners City Farm. Kien earned a Master's in Engineering from the University of Cambridge from 1997 to 2001.
