Kugan Naidoo

Kugan Naidoo is a seasoned electrical engineering professional with experience in various roles. Currently serving as a Senior Consultant at Arup since October 2024, Kugan previously contributed as a Senior Electrical Engineer at G7 Renewable Energies (Pty) Ltd, focusing on 33kV collector network design and contract development related to electrical balance of plant and Eskom IPP grid connection processes. Prior to this, Kugan worked at Release by Scatec as an Electrical Engineer, specializing in the design and implementation of large-scale solar and battery energy storage systems. Kugan’s career began at Bigen Africa, where responsibilities included 11kV to 132kV substation earthing design and monitoring. Kugan Naidoo holds a BSc. Eng in Electrical Engineering from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, completed in 2017.
