Lauren Wingo

Associate at Arup

Lauren Wingo is a Senior Engineer at Arup with a focus on embodied carbon in structural engineering. Since joining Arup in May 2013, Lauren has contributed to the design of lower carbon structures, including an adaptive reuse project and several mass timber projects. Prior to this role, Lauren served as Lead Structural Engineer for Team Capitol DC during the 2013 Solar Decathlon and gained experience as a Teaching Assistant at George Washington University. Earlier career roles include Structural Engineering Intern at Arup and Civil Engineer at Eastern Research Group. Lauren holds a Master of Science in Structural Engineering from The George Washington University and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from The Johns Hopkins University, supplemented by a brief educational stint at Freie Universität Berlin.
