M. Serdar Makinaci

M. Serdar Makinaci is an accomplished architect with extensive experience in project management and design leadership, currently serving as Associate Director at Arup since September 2025. Previously, Makinaci held the position of Senior Project Manager at Tabanlioglu Architects from January 2017 to September 2025, and worked as Project Architect at IBI Group and Urban Design Group Architects between April 2012 and April 2012. Makinaci began a career at Fonksiyon Architecture Co. as Design and Project Leader, overseeing a range of multi-million dollar projects across various sectors, totaling over 14.5 million square feet and valued at $1.5 billion. Makinaci earned a BASc in Architecture from Mimar Sinan University of Fine Arts, completing studies from 1990 to 1997.
