Martin Simpson is currently the Domain Technology and Data Lead at Arup, a position held since 2021. Previously, Martin served as the Director of the Centre for the Digital Built Environment from 2017 to 2020, focusing on digital transformation in the built environment. Martin also held the role of Associate Director at Arup from 1997 to 2017 and was the RAEng Visiting Professor of Innovation at the University of Salford from 2012 to 2017. Between 2020 and 2021, Martin directed Digital BE Ltd, providing consultancy and training services. Martin earned a Master of Engineering in Civil and Structural Engineering with first-class honors from the University of Liverpool.
