Matt Lally

Matt Lally is a seasoned urban planning and design professional with extensive experience spanning over two decades. Currently serving as a Director in Integrated City Planning at Arup, Matt has been instrumental in leading major urban regeneration projects, including the redevelopment of the Waterloo Estate in Australia and the planning of key infrastructure for the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar™. Former positions include Senior Manager for Urban Design at HS2 Ltd and Director at Matrix Partnership, where significant projects such as Woodberry Down were delivered. Matt's academic background includes a master's degree in Urban Design from Oxford Brookes University and a bachelor's degree in Town & Country Planning from Newcastle University. Additional contributions to the built environment include roles with the Design Council and The Glass-House Community Led Design.
