Matthew Behrens

Matthew Behrens is a Senior Renewable Energy Engineer at Arup, specializing in grid connection assessments, energy yield assessments, and hybrid energy system modeling. With a Bachelor of Science in Mechatronics Engineering with Honours from the University of Cape Town, they have developed a robust foundation in various engineering disciplines. Previously, Matthew served as a Renewable Energy Engineer at Arup and as a Project Engineer at Wind Prospect Africa, where they contributed to numerous wind farm projects across Africa. Their early experiences include an internship at Belmet Marine, where they gained skills in SolidWorks and welding techniques. Throughout Matthew's career, a strong commitment to leadership and teamwork has been evident.
