Matthew Lovell

Matthew Lovell is a Chartered Structural Engineer (MIStructE) and the Director of Building Engineering at Arup, where they lead multi-disciplinary building design projects across various sectors, including education, commercial, and transport. Previously, Matthew served as a Senior Associate at Buro Happold from 1994 to 2003 and held multiple leadership roles at Arup from 2003 to 2011. Matthew studied at University College London, earning a BEng (Hons) in Civil and Municipal Engineering, and later completed an MSt in Interdisciplinary Design for the Built Environment at the University of Cambridge.
