Melanie Grills is a proud Gomeroi individual and a cultural integrity champion with over two decades of experience across infrastructure, energy, native title, and government sectors. Currently serving as the First Nations Programs & Projects Lead at Arup, they focus on embedding First Nations knowledge and leadership into strategic frameworks and policies. Previously, they led initiatives at AECOM and held various roles with organizations like Origin Energy and the Department of Environment and Resource Management, where they championed Indigenous perspectives in large infrastructure projects. Melanie also holds a Bachelor of Science with a Psychology Major and a Graduate Diploma in Learning and Teaching from the University of Southern Queensland.
