Michael Beaven is an Arup Fellow and Director with extensive experience in engineering design, sustainability consulting, and digital innovation. They previously led engineering design and sustainability efforts at Arup Associates from 1996 to 2015, working in the USA, Japan, and Australia, before transitioning to a leadership role at Arup. Currently, as Global Automation Leader at Ove Arup and Partners, Michael drives digital innovation and design excellence while actively participating on various industry boards and panels. They earned a BSc(Hons) in Building Engineering from the University of Bath, graduating with first-class honors in 1987.
