Mohammad Tabarra is an esteemed Arup Fellow and Director, currently serving as the global lead for tunnel ventilation at Arup since February 2001. With extensive experience in the field, Mohammad has played a crucial role in the Second Ave Subway Project in New York City, established tunnel ventilation capabilities in the USA and Canada, and won significant design projects in Toronto. Notably, Mohammad chaired the International Symposium of Aerodynamics, Ventilation & Fire in Tunnels in September 2022 in Brighton, UK. Previously, as a Senior Research Fellow at South Bank University, efforts focused on tunnel ventilation research and engineering design, including work on the Saccardo nozzle for the Thames tunnel. Mohammad's academic credentials include a Master's degree in Aeronautics from Imperial College London, a PhD in Solar Thermal Energy from De Montfort University, and a B.Sc. in Engineering Science from the University of Warwick.
