Neil Muir

Neil Muir is a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Arup, where engagement with the NY Buildings team focuses on designing energy-efficient HVAC systems for complex projects globally. Previous experience includes roles as a Graduate Mechanical Engineer with the Urban Design Forum, contributing to initiatives for a Just Recovery in New York City, and various positions at the New York City Department of Environmental Protection involving hydraulic analyses of the water supply system. Earlier career highlights include working as an Engineering Aide at Con Edison, assisting with asset management and inspections, as well as research internships at Garcia MRSEC, where involvement in polymer research led to recognition as an Intel STS Semi-finalist and ISWEEP Gold Medalist. Neil holds a Master of Engineering and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art.
