Nikki Shaw is a water engineer and community engagement development fund manager with a focus on water and sanitation for the developing world. They served as a technical adviser for the World Toilet Organization from 2009 to 2018, where they developed the World Toilet College and addressed technical issues related to emergency water and sanitation. They have also held roles at Arup, including Graduate Engineer and Senior Civil Engineer, contributing to various engineering projects and managing the global Development Fund to support underserved communities. Currently, they co-facilitate water and sanitation training courses for various organizations, sharing their expertise in development and emergencies. Nikki holds a Master’s degree in Engineering from the University of Cambridge and an MSc in Water & Waste Engineering from Loughborough University.
