Ross Newcombe

Ross Newcombe is an accomplished maritime engineering professional with extensive experience in leadership and project management across various companies. Currently serving as Associate Principal and Global Skills Leader for Maritime at Arup since August 2013, Ross currently provides technical advisory for the Marine works component of the Port of Melbourne port capacity project. Prior experience includes serving as Area Manager for the Marine works in the Simandou Project at Fluor, managing port assets at Patrick Ports, and holding the position of Principal Engineer Maritime at AECOM, where Ross oversaw numerous maritime projects across Australia and Southeast Asia. Ross began their career as a maritime engineer at KBR / Riedel & Byrne, focusing on coastal structures and ports. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Civil Engineering from the University of Melbourne, a Bachelor of Science in Physics from the RAAF Academy, and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Melbourne.
