Sam Ng is currently the Railway System Engineering Leader at Arup, a position held since 2023. Prior to this, Sam was a Technical Director at Atkins from 2008 to 2023. Sam holds a BEng(Hons) and a PhD from the University of Strathclyde, where they studied from 1990 to 1992. Their expertise includes systems engineering for rail transit systems, simulation and modeling, electromagnetic compatibility, traction power supply systems, earthing and bonding, and stray current protection.
