Toby Hodsdon

Toby Hodsdon is an accomplished professional in the field of structural engineering, currently serving as Associate Principal and Building Structures Team Leader at Arup since September 2018, focusing on the Arts and Culture business in Queensland and regional timber initiatives. Additionally, since February 2019, Toby holds the position of Adjunct Associate Professor at Griffith University, contributing industry expertise to timber engineering research and teaching. Previously, Toby served as Principal Structural Engineer at Bligh Tanner and held roles as Senior Structural Engineer at AECOM Australia Pty Ltd and Buro Happold, where notable projects included award-winning buildings in the UK and major developments in Cairo and Abu Dhabi. Toby's career began as a Graduate Structural Engineer at King Shaw Associates, followed by a role as Research Engineer at Ramtec Pty Ltd. Toby Hodsdon earned a Master of Engineering (Hons) in Civil and Architectural Engineering from the University of Bath, completing studies in 2003.
