Tom Coyne

Tom Coyne is an experienced ecologist currently serving as an Associate Ecologist at Arup since September 2019, with previous roles including Principal and Senior Ecologist. Coyne's expertise encompasses project management, technical report writing, and conducting surveys for protected species across the UK and Europe. A holder of a Natural England protected species survey license for Great Crested Newts, Coyne has coordinated surveys for various projects, including cross-country pipelines and housing developments. Prior experience includes positions at RSK Biocensus, RSK Group, APEM Ltd, RSK Carter Ecological, and Carter Ecological Ltd, with a strong background in aquatic ecology, species surveys, and project oversight. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Conservation and the Environment from Writtle University College, complemented by a National Diploma in Aquaculture and Fish Studies from Sparsholt University Centre and A levels from Peter Symonds College.
