Steven Friedman

Steven Friedman is an experienced professional in the fields of genetics, epigenetics, and bioinformatics, with a robust background in clinical and research settings. Currently serving as Group Manager at ARUP Laboratories since August 2017, Steven has held various roles including Clinical Variant Scientist at different levels. Prior experience includes a tenure as a Graduate Research Assistant at Oregon State University, where research focused on genetics and biochemistry, and positions at Mercy Medical Center and the University of Maryland, concentrating on post-operative care research and mouse genotyping, respectively. Steven holds a Doctorate in Biochemistry and Biophysics from Oregon State University and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Maryland. Additionally, Steven contributed to the digitization of the Norton Brown Herbarium by capturing high-resolution images of specimen collections.
