Gopa Kumar Thampi

Gopa Kumar Thampi has over two and a half decades of experience in international development, concentrating on governance, capacity building, and public accountability. Currently a Visiting Fellow at the Centre for Peace and Justice, BRAC University and an Advisor at Arutha, Gopa previously held key positions including Director at the Public Affairs Centre in India and Chief Operating Officer at the Institute of Governance Studies, Dhaka. Gopa has been recognized internationally for expertise in social accountability strategies, working with a diverse range of stakeholders across East, South and Central Asia, Anglophone Africa, and Eastern Europe. Gopa holds a Doctorate of Philosophy in Economics from the University of Kerala and additional qualifications in Peace Studies and Journalism.
