Andrew Higgins

Captain at Arvada Fire

Andrew Higgins is a seasoned professional in emergency services with extensive experience in leadership and instructional roles. Currently serving as a Captain at Arvada Fire Protection District since October 2012, Andrew has also held a key position as CO-3 DMAT with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services from 2009 until August 2023. Prior experience includes working as a Paramedic/FTO and EMS Instructor at Denver Health from February 2008 to September 2016, as well as serving as Adjunct Faculty at Denver Health Paramedic School from October 2012 to December 2014. Andrew holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies from Bryant University, earned between 2000 and 2004.
