Robert Widom has extensive experience in both emergency services and operations management. Since December 2000, Robert has served as a firefighter with the Arvada Fire Protection District, a special tax district providing fire protection and emergency medical services to the communities of Arvada, Wheat Ridge, and parts of Jefferson County. Additionally, since July 2020, Robert holds the position of Vice President of Operations at The Avens Group, a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business dedicated to enhancing healthcare accessibility for veterans and their families. Prior to these roles, Robert worked as an Autobody Parts Manager at Prestige Imports Porsche | Audi from January 1990 to January 2000, gaining valuable experience in the auto body repair industry. Robert is a graduate of John F Kennedy High School.

Nearly 200 employees serve approximately 133,000 citizens. Arvada Fire provides a wide range of emergency response programs including fire suppression, technical rescue, water rescue, hazardous materials, and emergency medical services. The department also provides numerous community risk reduction programs including business inspections, plan review, home safety visits, school programs, community activities and more.
