Bassem Shebl

Bassem Shebl, PhD, is a principal scientist specializing in early drug discovery with a focus on small molecule development in academic and biotech settings. They have extensive experience in biochemical and cell-based assays, high-throughput screening strategies, and targeted degradation approaches, particularly in pediatric cancer research. Previously, Bassem held roles at institutions such as The Rockefeller University and Pfizer, where they contributed to significant advancements in drug discovery and biopharmaceutical research. They earned a PhD in Biochemistry, Biophysics, and Molecular Biology from the University of Missouri-Columbia and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Pharmacy and Biotechnology from the German University in Cairo.
