Paula Hicks

Paula Hicks is a seasoned biotechnology consultant and the Chief Technology Officer at Arzeda, where they lead a world-class team in designing innovative proteins and processes. Since becoming self-employed in 2018, Hicks has focused on intellectual property strategy development and project management, supporting various start-ups in launching impactful health-related products. They previously held leadership roles at Evolva, overseeing process development and technical programs across diverse domains, and gained invaluable experience at Cargill and Bend Research. Hicks obtained their Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology from North Carolina State University.
