Amanda Shoffner is a music industry executive who has worked with some of the biggest names in the business. Amanda is currently the Director of Film & TV Music at ASCAP, one of the largest performing rights organizations in the United States. Amanda has also held positions at Warner Bros. Records and Universal Music Group, where they worked in digital marketing and strategic innovation.
Amanda started their career in the music industry as a Junior Creative at Secret Road Music Services, a music licensing and publishing company. Amanda then went on to work as an assistant to the Chairperson of the Mayor's Nashville Music Council before taking a position at Warner Bros. Records. At Warner Bros., Amanda served as an Executive Assistant to the President before being promoted to Director of Film & TV Music. In this role, they worked with some of the biggest names in the film and television industry to secure placement for Warner Bros. artists' music in film and TV productions.
In 2017, Amanda left Warner Bros. to take a position at Universal Music Group as the Department Coordinator & EA to the SVP of Digital Marketing Innovations. In this role, they were responsible for bringing out-of-the-box, surprise-and-delight innovation to marketing plans across the UMG umbrella. From custom games to immersive VR experiences, Amanda helped elevate an artist's ancillary content to the level of their musical genius.
After a year at Universal, Amanda returned to ASCAP in 2018 as the Director of Film & TV Music. In this role, they work with ASCAP's vast network of film and television composers, songwriters, and publishers to ensure that they are fairly compensated for the use of their work in film and TV productions. Amanda is a champion for artists' rights and is passionate about helping ASCAP members navigate the ever-changing landscape of the music industry.
Amanda Shoffner has a BA in Entertainment Industry Studies from Belmont University.
