Beth Matthews

Beth Matthews serves as the Chief Executive Officer of ASCAP (American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers) since February 2013, where responsibilities include directing the strategic operations of the organization, which supports over 520,000 members and manages more than 10 million copyrighted works in public performance rights licensing and advocacy. Prior to ASCAP, from February 1998 to November 2012, Matthews held positions at Viacom Media Networks as Executive Vice President & General Counsel and as Executive Vice President & Deputy General Counsel, overseeing business and legal affairs, negotiating complex transactions across various programming services, and managing the Mergers and Acquisitions Pipeline.
