Brian Roberts

Brian Roberts is the EVP & Chief Operating Officer at ASCAP. Brian has over 25 years of experience in the music industry, holding various positions in finance and administration.

Roberts began their career in 1985 as an audit senior at Arthur Young. Brian then joined EMI Music Publishing in 1990 as VP Finance, North America. In 1994, they moved to Zomba Music Publishing, where they served as SVP Finance & Commercial Operations for eight years. From 2002 to 2007, they were at BMG Music Publishing as SVP Finance & Administration.

In 2007, Roberts joined Warner/Chappell Music as SVP & CFO. Brian held this position for four years before moving to Warner Music Group, where they served as EVP Corporate Strategy & Operations from 2011 to 2015.

Roberts has been with ASCAP since 2015 and currently serves as EVP & Chief Operating Officer. Under their leadership, ASCAP has continued to grow and evolve, becoming one of the leading performing rights organizations in the world.

Brian Roberts has a BS in Accounting from Manhattan College and is a Certified Public Accountant from New York State (inactive).
