Lale Uner

Lale Uner is Senior Counsel, Business & Legal Affairs at ASCAP. Lale was an associate in Gunderson Dettmer's Corporate Department where they advised venture capital and private equity firms as well as technology companies in private transactions, including corporate financings, mergers and acquisitions. In addition to representing clients in strategic transactional matters, they advised clients on a wide range of general business law matters, including day-to-day contractual, operational and corporate governance issues.

Previously, Lale was a Corporate associate in the Mergers & Acquisition and Private Equity groups and a Tax associate in the Executive Compensation and Benefits group at Debevoise & Plimpton. Lale advised private equity firms and public and private companies on executive compensation and benefits matters relating to mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and other strategic transactions.

Lale received their JD from Columbia Law School and their BA from the University of Pennsylvania.

After graduating from Hillcrest Secondary School in Nairobi, Kenya, Lale Uner attended Mount Holyoke College in the United States, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts in politics and anthropology. Lale then went on to Stanford Law School, where they obtained their Doctor of Law degree.
