Michael DePalatis is a Staff Software Engineer at Ascend Analytics since October 2022, previously serving as a Staff Scientist at Inscripta, Inc. from September 2018 to September 2022. At Inscripta, Michael architected software for bioinformatics pipelines, developed web APIs, created tools for metadata indexing, and automated processes for scientific teams, while also deploying infrastructure on AWS using Terraform. Prior to this, Michael was a Senior Scientist and Software Developer at the University of Pennsylvania, focusing on real-time iEEG experiments and data processing enhancements. Experience includes a postdoctoral position at Aarhus University and a Graduate Research Assistant role at Georgia Institute of Technology. Michael holds a PhD in Physics from Georgia Institute of Technology and a BS in Physics from The University of Texas at Austin.
