Andrew Schoch

Andrew Schoch, PhD, is an experienced professional currently serving as R&D Director at Ascend Elements since June 2023. Prior to this role, Andrew held various positions at Saint-Gobain Abrasives from April 2011 to June 2023, including Senior Product Manager and Product Manager across several categories of bonded abrasives. Andrew also worked as a Senior Research Engineer and R&D Group Leader within the same company, focusing on bonded abrasives R&D. Previous experience includes a role as a PhD Contractor at the US Army Research Laboratory, where Andrew contributed to the development of advanced materials. Andrew earned a PhD in Materials Science and Engineering from Northwestern University and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
