John Duggins

John Duggins has extensive experience in the field of security engineering and analysis. John currently holds the position of Principal Security Engineer at Ascend Learning, where they lead the vulnerability and threat management program. Prior to this role, they served as a Senior Security Engineer at the same company. John also has experience working as a Senior Security Analyst at GEHA and as an Assistant Instructor at AKKA Karate USA. Additionally, they have held roles such as Infrastructure Administrator III at Grantham University, Security Consultant at FishNet Security, Application Security Architect at VML, Inc., Security Engineer at National Systems Corporation, and Development Engineer at FlagShip Integration Services, Inc. (formerly RMI Network Services, Inc.). Earlier in their career, they worked as a Systems Engineer at AMC Communications and CoreComm Ltd. (formerly MegsINET).

John Duggins attended Beloit College from 1995 to 1999, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree. Their major field of study was Computer Science, with a secondary focus on Psychology. In addition to their college education, John has achieved several certifications. In 2012, they obtained the GWAPT certification from GIAC and the CISSP certification from ISC(2). Furthermore, in 2017, they became a Nexpose Advanced Certified Administrator through Rapid7.
