Krista Brooks, CPA, is an Internal Audit Manager at Ascend Learning, where they leverage their expertise in internal audit, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, and project management. They previously held roles at KPMG, including Senior Associate Advisory and Audit Manager, earning the Chairman’s Award for High Performance twice during their tenure. Krista holds a Master's Degree in Accounting from Missouri State University, where they also served as a Graduate Assistant. Their career began with internships at CURO Financial Technologies Corp and O'Reilly Auto Parts, building a strong foundation in accounting principles and compliance functions.
