Mark May

Mark May is an accomplished finance executive with extensive experience in corporate financial management and reporting. Currently serving as Vice President - Controller at Ascend Learning since September 2018, Mark previously held the position of Vice President - Corporate Controller at Payless Inc. for nearly a decade, where responsibilities included overseeing global accounting and financial reporting for a $3.5 billion organization. Prior roles include Vice President, Assistant Controller at Collective Brands, Inc., Vice President - Finance at A. Zahner Company, and Assistant Controller at Layne Christensen, along with early career experience at Deloitte. Mark holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Notre Dame.
