John Harden has worked in various roles in the marketing and product management fields since 2000. From 2000 to 2003, they were a Resident Assistant and Assistant Hall Director at Benedictine College. From 2003 to 2004, they worked as a Consultative Sales Associate at Sears, Roebuck and Co. and then as a Marketing Assistant at Current Media Group LLC. In 2006, they joined Ascension as a Senior Product Manager, where they drafted strategic marketing plans and product roadmaps and managed the development of high-impact study programs and consumer products. John also proposed and produced "The Great Adventure Catholic Bible," Ascension's most profitable product accounting for 20% of their annual revenue. In 2012, they became an Adjunct Professor of Theology at Neumann University. Finally, from 2012 to the present, they have been a Marketing Strategy Manager at Ascension, overseeing their strategic planning and marketing while managing a team of five direct reports. John has expanded social media and content marketing, increasing email subscribers from 40,000 to 200,000 and increasing their annual unique purchasers from 170,000 to 275,000 buyers. John has also managed the overall marketing plan and strategy, including B to B and B to C sales, direct mail, email, social media, paid advertising, and content marketing.
John Harden has a diverse educational background. From 1995-1999, they attended Springfield Catholic High School. John then attended Benedictine College from 1999-2003, where they earned a degree in Religious Studies with a focus in Theology, Biology, and Education. John continued their education at Franciscan University of Steubenville from 2003-2006, where they earned a MA in Theology. From 2015-2019, they attended Byzantine Catholic Seminary of Saints Cyril and Methodius. John is currently attending West Chester University of Pennsylvania, where they are pursuing a Master of Business Administration. In addition, they have obtained four certifications from LinkedIn, which include "Confronting Bias: Thriving Across Our Differences," "Jeff Weiner on Managing Compassionately," "Shane Snow on Dream Teams," and "Product Innovation for Product Managers."
