Matt Smith

Matt Smith is an experienced aviator currently serving as a First Officer at British Airways since August 2022. Previously, Matt held the position of Captain and Qualified Flight Instructor at Ascent Flight Training from January 2021, where responsibilities included instructing the Elementary Flight Training syllabus on the GROB Prefect. Prior to this, Matt gained experience as a First Officer on long-haul B777 flights with British Airways and served as a Senior First Officer on the B787 Dreamliner with NORWEGIAN AIR UK LIMITED. Matt began a career in aviation with Ryanair as a Senior First Officer from February 2014 to September 2017. Matt holds a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Human Science from York St. John University.
