Ryan Gray

Ryan Gray is the current Chief Financial Officer at Ascent Funding. Ryan has also previously worked at Goal Structured Solutions (GS2) and Goal Financial. From November 2004 to December 2007, they were the Director of Structured Finance at Goal Financial. There, they were a securitization deal team member and structured and issued $5.2B of student loan asset-backed securities. Additionally, they managed $8B of student loan asset-backed securities across 11 trust structures. Ryan also created a Backup Administration role to facilitate a new client which added $12B of student loan asset-backed securities held across 20 trust structures. Furthermore, they negotiated Broker Dealer Agreements across $3.5B of auction rate securities, creating an annualized savings of $5M. Before working at Goal Financial, Ryan Gray worked as a Senior Financial Analyst at Capital One Auto Finance from October 2001 to October 2004. There, they managed pricing for all products to optimize NPV, predict volumes, and achieve corporate governance for valuation of all new originations. Additionally, they directed all of areas of financial forecasting, including annual budget and updated quarterly forecasts, for all auto portfolio products, creating staffing models and operating expense budgets for all departments. Lastly, they developed and presented monthly financial packages with variance and trend analysis to annual budget and forecasts, annual budgets, and quarterly forecasts to senior leadership teams.

Ryan Gray completed a Masters in Executive MBA from Brigham Young University and a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Utah - David Eccles School of Business.
