John A.

John A. has a diverse work experience primarily in software engineering. John worked at Ascent for a total of 10 years, starting as a Junior Software Developer Intern in 2013 and progressing to become a Senior .NET Software Developer until 2019. John then held the position of Lead Engineer from 2019 to 2023 before taking on the role of Head of Software Engineering (MT) in July 2023. John also worked as a .NET Software Developer at Ascent from 2014 to 2015. Prior to their time at Ascent, they had an internship as a Junior Software Developer at Malta Communications Authority in 2012.

John A. obtained their Matriculation Certificate from De la Salle College in the years 2009 to 2011. John then pursued their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence with Computer Information Systems from the University of Malta from 2011 to 2014. Following this, they went on to complete their Master of Science (MSc) degree in Computer Science from the University of Malta, which took place from 2015 to 2016. In addition to their academic qualifications, they obtained a certification in Microsoft Certified: Azure Cosmos DB Developer Specialty from Microsoft in August 2022.
