Murray Foxcroft has extensive experience in technology leadership roles. Murray currently serves as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Ascent, where they lead the technical strategy and direction of the company. In their previous role as CTO at ProArch, they drove innovation in application development and data analytics, while also providing guidance to customers and leading agile teams. Murray also served as the CTO and Technical Advisor at Mondra, where they focused on building and delivering the company's technology strategy. Prior to that, they worked at AlixPartners as a Technical Advisor and at Altius as a Cloud Platform and Solution Architect. Murray has also held positions at Worldpay, Clifford Chance LLP, Fidelity Worldwide Investment, K2, and Gijima (Microsoft Professional Solutions), where they gained experience in various architectural and management roles.
Murray Foxcroft's education history begins with their matriculation from Glenwood High School, where they completed their Higher Grade Matriculation from 1987 to 1991. Following this, they attended the Durban University of Technology from 1992 to 1995, where they obtained a National Diploma in Information Technology. During their time at the university, Murray studied various subjects, including algorithms, assembler, programming languages such as C, RPG, CASE Tools, AI, and COBOL, as well as business economics and accounting.
In addition to their formal education, Murray Foxcroft has also obtained several certifications throughout their career. These include certifications such as Communicating about Culturally Sensitive Issues from LinkedIn in July 2020, Scaled Agile Framework® Agilist from the Scaled Agile Academy in February 2015, Certified Scrum Master from the Scrum Alliance in January 2011, MCSD: Microsoft .NET, Microsoft Certified, and MCAD: Microsoft .NET from Microsoft in December 2005, and MCPS: Microsoft Certified Professional from Microsoft in February 2003.
