Michael McLaughlin

Michael McLaughlin has extensive experience in the oil and gas industry and legal practice. Currently serving as a Land Coordinator at Ascent Resources since 2014, Michael has previously held positions as Landman II and Title Attorney at Chesapeake Energy, where responsibilities included mentoring, negotiating oil and gas leases, and managing development plans. Michael was also a Board Member for OKC Hope Link, providing support for families with children facing serious health challenges. Earlier experiences include roles as an Assistant Attorney General and an attorney at Scoggins & Cross, focusing on civil practice and appellate criminal prosecution, as well as a legal intern. Michael holds a Juris Doctorate from Oklahoma City University School of Law, a BA in Journalism from the University of Central Oklahoma, and a BS in Journalism from the University of Oklahoma.
