Daniel Cranston

Robotics Engineer at Ascent Robotics

Daniel Cranston has a diverse work experience. Daniel started as a Computer Lab Assistant at Linköping University in 2016, where they assisted students in a Matlab course and had regular correspondence with the course examiner. Later that year, they worked as a Co-Worker at IKEA Group during their exchange studies, where they received training and had customer contact in Japanese. In 2018, they interned at Saab as a Summer Intern in Dimensional Management. In 2019, they conducted a Master Thesis Project at Saab, focusing on machine-learning approaches to disparity refinement and creating a ground truth dataset. In the same year, they joined Ascent Robotics, Inc. as a Simulations Intern and eventually became a Robotics Engineer.

Daniel Cranston earned their Masters Degree in Applied Physics and Electronics with a specialization in Signal and Image Processing from Linköping University from 2014 to 2019. Daniel also pursued exchange studies in the Faculty of Engineering at Chiba University from 2016 to 2017.
