Munir Dede is a physicist with a PhD in Engineering Physics from Bilkent University, which was earned in 2008. They are currently the Head Engineer at Aselsan, focusing on Microelectronics & Electro-Optics Systems. Previously, Munir served as a Senior Researcher at TÜBİTAK SAGE from 2018 to 2024, where they played a key role in developing and manufacturing tactical grade Fiber Optic Gyroscope-based Inertial Measurement Units. Their earlier experience includes consulting for ASTEK and holding various leadership roles at NanoMagnetics Instruments, where they contributed to R&D and sales in advanced measurement systems. Munir’s academic background also includes a Master’s degree and a Bachelor’s degree, both from Bilkent University and Middle East Technical University, respectively.
